Women's imaging services

We also offer bone density screenings to detect osteoporosis early, helping you get faster, better care.

Cancer care for women

The Ann B. Rodriguez Cancer Center at Reston Hospital Center provides expert cancer prevention, screening, education and treatment services for you and your family. At our facility, our oncology team treats a variety of cancers in women and helps you navigate the treatment process.

Gynecology and urogynecology services

From gynecological surgery to endometriosis treatment, our OB/GYNs and gynecologists provide comprehensive gynecologic services. We also offer access to urogynecologists for specialized treatment of bladder and pelvic floor disorders. Our women's care specialists will work with you to find the minimally invasive surgery (MIS) that best fits and restores your quality of life.

Minimally invasive gynecological surgery

At our Institute for Robotics and Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery, we use state-of-the-art treatments to ensure you receive comprehensive care. In fact, we were among the first in our region to offer the most advanced form of MIS, robot-assisted surgery for hysterectomies.

Robotic surgery allows surgeons to operate through small incisions with better visualization, precision and control resulting in a faster recovery. Robotic surgery may also be used to treat other gynecological conditions, such as uterine fibroids and gynecologic cancer. The Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) recognizes our program as a Center of Excellence for minimally invasive gynecological procedures.

Maternity care

We are dedicated to helping women in our community achieve safe, healthy pregnancies. In fact, we welcome more than 3,000 babies each year in our labor and delivery department. In fact, our team has been awarded by Healthgrades with their Labor and Delivery and their Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Awards for the last three years.

We offer safe, supportive maternity services to suit every type of pregnancy, including high-risk pregnancies. Our team includes OB/GYNs, high-risk OB/GYNs and certified nurse midwives. You'll receive comprehensive prenatal care and we'll help you create a birth plan that's perfect for you.

Labor and delivery

When it's time for labor and delivery, we offer comfortable amenities and a variety of options to support your childbirth wishes, including midwifery services and natural birth options. Our maternity care specialists will be with you during and after labor to keep you comfortable and monitor your recovery. We provide support so that you can care for yourself and your newborn.

Should your baby need additional support after birth, we will care for them in our Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). In our NICU, our doctors and nurses are highly trained to provide gentle, expert care to our tiniest patients.
