Screening and Diagnosis
Reston Hospital Center physicians are able to perform the following tests and procedures in their offices or the hospitals imaging centers to diagnose gynecologic cancers:
- Pap smear
- Pelvic exam
- Endometrial tissue sample
- Ultrasound
- Computed tomography (CT) scan
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan
- Positron emission tomography (PET) scan
The Ann B. Rodriguez Cancer Center recommends the National Cancer Institute’s screening guidelines for women without symptoms or a family history of gynecologic cancers.
