Breast Care Navigators
At Reston Hospital Center, we understand that even a screening mammogram can be an overwhelming experience, which is why our diagnostic breast navigator is here to walk patients through the entire process. In cases where additional screenings are necessary—such as biopsy—our diagnostic breast navigator will coordinate with the Ann B. Rodriguez Cancer Center’s breast care coordinator. Working as a team, our navigators support patients through the entire process.
They help our patients manage and coordinate doctor’s office visits, diagnostic tests and information between our team of specialists and their primary care physicians or gynecologist. They serve as a source of support in finding access to available clinical trials, breast cancer education and transportation or financial concerns.
