Pulmonary Treatments & Technology
At Reston Hospital, our priorities go beyond standard fixes to provide you with effective, long-term respiratory solutions. We are proud to offer our patients a wide variety of diagnostic and treatment options using the latest technology.
Pulmonary Function Testing
Our pulmonary function testing includes diagnostic tests to measure lung capacity and gas flow rates and determine how gases are exchanged in the lungs. These breathing tests help doctors see how well your lungs are working.
Pulmonary Stress Test
Lung cancer patients can also have pulmonary stress testing done right here at Reston Hospital Center. The test helps your treatment team analyze your oxygen consumption levels, determine if you have the capacity to undergo surgery and develop the best treatment plan for your specific needs.
Asthma is a chronic condition of the lung's airways or tubes. It narrows those airways and makes breathing difficult. When you come to the emergency room at Reston Hospital with an asthma attack, we determine your peak airflow and provide appropriate treatments, typically with bronchodilators, steroids or other medications.
