Improved fitness and muscle strength are essential to recovering from many illnesses and injuries, yet traditional exercise facilities aren't equipped to address the unique health needs of each individual. That's why Reston Therapy & Fitness Center offers medically supervised fitness—a transition plan from physical therapy to a home exercise program or your normal gym routine.
Safe, Supervised Exercise
Medically supervised fitness is a safe and supervised way to achieve your health goals, whether you want to get back to your regular routine or return to active sports. An exercise specialist, an individual with special training and education, will create a customized fitness program for you. Your program will begin with an exercise assessment, followed by training, risk factor modification and lifestyle management services. Memberships are available on a monthly basis.
You may benefit from medically supervised fitness if you are at risk of or have been diagnosed with:
- High blood pressure
- High or low cholesterol
- Arthritis, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia and other chronic conditions
Supervised exercise also helps individuals working on weight loss or recovering from cancer or heart problems, orthopedic surgery and sports injuries or accidents.
