A Passion For Excellence. Compassion For You.

Women's Imaging Center

Our Women’s Imaging Center has set a new standard for women’s imaging in Northern Virginia. Located on the hospital campus in suite 400 of the Parkway Medical Tower, the Women’s Imaging Center offers a relaxing, spa-like environment where women can have mammogram, ultrasound and bone density exams.

From the minute you walk through the door it’s obvious that this is not an average, hospital imaging center. The main waiting area is beautifully appointed with comfortable and stylish furniture, not to mention a plasma TV and a complimentary coffee bar. Those coming to their appointment with little ones will appreciate the children’s room that offers a play table and children’s DVDs. As patients prepare for their exam, they are provided with a soft, white robe for their comfort and privacy. And as they progress through the center, patients will enjoy a collection of beautiful artwork that gives unique expressions of female beauty and fashion.

Lobby

The center features digital mammography, which provides better images for physicians to better diagnose breast cancer. For patients needing an ultrasound exam, the Women’s Imaging Center has 4-D ultrasound capability that produces more sophisticated and complete images. The center also features an enhanced form of x-ray technology called dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) – the industry standard for diagnosing osteoporosis.

Computer Room

With the center being adjacent to the main hospital, patients are within walking distance to the hospital's other imaging services including: computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy and positron emission tomography (PET).

What Sets Us Apart

Not all women's imaging centers are the same - here's what sets us apart from the rest:

Scheduling Convenience: We take great pride in promptly scheduling your procedure at a time that works best for you… not us. We also offer Saturday appointments for mammography; this is a very popular option for many patients.

Full Service: Some imaging centers don't offer comprehensive imaging in one location. We are proud to offer mammography, ultrasound and bone density testing all in one setting, and more importantly can accommodate any necessary follow-up studies.

Advanced Technology: We pride ourselves in utilizing our advanced clinical technology to give our patients prompt and accurate results. We are proud to offer digital mammography, 4-D ultrasound and dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA -the best technology available for diagnosing osteoporosis).

Passion and Compassion: Our specially trained office staff, technologists and physicians all have one thing in common - they have a passion for excellence and compassion for you. We strive to make your experience pleasant in every way possible.
