Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services

An innovative combination of rehabilitation (Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy) and medically supervised fitness training under one roof – that’s what Reston Therapy and Fitness Center offers our community. In fact, Reston Therapy and Fitness Center is one of the most sophisticated rehabilitation programs available in Northern Virginia, featuring a multidisciplinary team specializing in evaluating and treating musculoskeletal and neurological diseases or disorders.

Don’t Do It Alone

All too often, traditional physical therapy and rehabilitations programs fail to be integrated into the patient’s everyday life. This means that once patients are on their own, they must devise recuperative regimens that suit their individual lifestyles. For many, the process is too discouraging. Maintaining motivation to exercise is never easy and people often find the atmosphere in commercial fitness centers intimidating. Yet increasing cardiovascular endurance and building muscular strength are essential aspects of recovery from many physical problems.

Weight EquipmentReston Therapy and Fitness Center offers monthly memberships to patients who have finished their prescribed treatment course. Even after discharge from the hospital, the center’s expert clinical staff monitors each person’s progress and, when necessary, helps adjust the regimen. As a result, patients no longer have to make uninformed guesses about when to increase or decrease the intensity of their effort.

Hand Bike With TherapistThe staff of therapists and specialists at Reston Therapy and Fitness Center observes patients closely, making sure they are using exercise equipment correctly, and helping them select equipment that is appropriate for their needs. Personalized exercise guidance can make a difference for other types of patients as well. After referral by a physician, people with such chronic conditions as heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, obesity and arthritis also can join the center.

Talk To Your Doctor

If you believe Reston Therapy and Fitness Center may help improve your health and well being, talk to your doctor and ask for a referral. The center will make every effort to schedule an evaluation of your condition within 24 hours.

After a thorough evaluation, a therapist will prepare a customized treatment plan and discuss what therapies and/or exercises will be part of the plan. Monthly reports are provided to the referring physician and regular re-evaluations are performed to analyze the rehabilitation process.

Patients are encouraged to check with their insurance carriers before beginning treatment to verify that services at Reston Therapy and Fitness Center will be covered.
