Getting To Know Us
The Family Center is focused on the health, safety and comfort of your child and family. Getting familiar with our services, environment, procedures and staff often help expectant mothers and families relax a bit during what can be a stressful time. We're more than happy to show you around, answer questions and do what we can to put you at ease with a tour of our facility. Two things in particular draw families to The Family Center - excellent nursing skills and quality care. Continuing education and training distinguish our patient care staff. For example:
- All Family Center nursing staff members have completed a lactation program to provide support for mothers who wish to breastfeed.
- One hundred percent of qualified registered nurses who care for patients have successfully completed the Association of Women Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Fetal Monitoring Principles Course.
- All nursing staff is Neonatal Resuscitation Program-certified, and nurses are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
