Today, Reston Hospital Center performed their first case of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI). This means that when minutes count, RHC cardiologists are able to stop a heart attack in its tracks by performing cardiac stenting or angioplasty in the hospital's state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab.

Reston Hospital Center Surgeons Are More than Experts

Reston Hospital Center has always been on the forefront of minimally invasive surgery. The obstetrics and gynecological team were among the first in the region to perform laparoscopic gynecological surgery; the GI team was the first in the Washington area, and among the first in the nation, to perform incisionless anti-reflux surgery; general surgeons were early adapters of laparoscopic technique; and spinal surgeons have been pioneers in minimally invasive spine surgery.

Based on select quality of care measures, HCA Virginia has seven of the top 10 hospitals in the commonwealth, including Reston Hospital Center, according to the most recent results from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s Quality-In-Sights®: Hospital Incentive Program (Q-HIPSM).
